Springtime Pictures

Hello Everyone.  Sorry for the lull, but after ski season we all needed a break so not a lot has been going on.  But I do have some pics for you, mostly of the kids which is probably why everyone reads this anyhow.  Since Juneau, we've been taking it easy, doing some field trips, finishing up school and waiting for summer.  That last one has been a trying experience this year.  It snow over 6 inches on May 17th and we set a record for the longest period between our first and last snow fall of 232 days!!  That has made for some amazing spring skiing and snowmobiling.  I rode my snowmobile on May 20th and had one of the best rides of the year!  Kerry competed in the Gold Nugget Triathlon and the Bike for Women events.  Both were snow free but cold!  Here on Memorial Day Weekend summer seems to have finally arrived, albeit a month late.  It was 75 today, but there is still ice on most of the lakes.  Could make for an interesting first part of the fishing season.  Enough talk, here are the pictures I promised.
Nick on a field trip in Anchorage.  These bears are on display at the Anchorage Hilton if anyone ever visits!
Nick at his Orchestra performance.  He's been playing the Viola this year and sounds pretty good.
Kerry and her partners Alycia and Erin at the Bike for Women
Max on a field trip to Potter's Marsh, hanging with 3 of his best friends.
A visitor on the field trip.  If you ever get a chance to really be up close to one of these magnificent Eagles, be sure to bring a camera.  It is impressive.
Nick on a field trip to the Challenger Space Learning center in Kenai.
 Max goofing around...again.
Alex dressed up like a Leif Erikson, a Viking explorer.
 May 17th 2013, record snowfall!
Kerry with her Triathlon team... Swim Bike Rum
Our house ready to be painted.
Today we took the kids to a track meet in Anchorage.  Nick ran the 1500m and placed 3rd.  Then all three boys ran the 200m and they all placed!  Max was 1st in his age group, but he was also the only one in his age group.  However his time would've placed him 3rd in Alex's age group!  Alex was 2nd in his group, and Nick was 3rd in his group.  They were a bit tentative at first as we have run no track and field before.  But they got into it and were all smiles by the time we left.

That's it for now.  We should have some pics from next weekend and then a whole slew of pics from our East Coast vacation.
